Search for cheap airfare to Beijing and book a flight to Beijing

The capital of China, Beijing has a long history and currently is the political, cultural and economical center of the country. It is the second largest city in China and is some to some of the world’s best well known landmarks.

An airport serving Beijing. Or are there two?

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) has 3 terminals and is located 32 km from the city center. It is hub for Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. It is the busiest airport in Asia in terms of passenger traffic and the second busiest airport in the world. The airport handles flights to/from all over the world. There are free inter-terminal shuttles to get between the airport’s terminals at a fast speed. The Airport Express train offers connections to the metro lines. A cheaper option is to take the airport shuttle directly to the city center.

Nanyuan Airport (NAY) is used only by low-cost operator China United which operates domestic flights. It is the oldest airport in China.

Getting cheap tickets to Beijing

There are three main holidays when it’s best to avoid flying to Beijing: Chinese New Year (late January to mid February) , Labor Day (May 1) and Independence Day (October 1). That’s when the locals travel a lot and everything is busy and expensive.

For best weather, visit Beijing in September, October and from March to mid-May (avoiding the holiday at the beginning of May). Now you’ll find shoulder season prices and sunny days.

Avoid flying over the weekend and make sure to book the flight in advance. You can check connecting flights too, as they are sometimes cheaper than direct flights.
